I have the rare fortune of being able to say that I truly enjoy coming to work EVERY day. Not only do I love my work, but I value the strong partnerships and friendships I’ve made with my Team Members, peers, and leaders. When I started at Main Event, I was looking for a way to earn some extra cash.  I soon realized that Main Event wasn’t just another job, but could be my career. As an Event Coordinator, I got the opportunity to meet with Guests and plan events that would become lifelong memories. Whether it was creating an engaging company outing or the best birthday party ever, I was truly making people happy. I would see the events come to life through our operations team and realized everyone in the building had the same purpose – to make our Guests feel welcome, brighten their day, and bring happiness to their lives.I thought about how I could do the same for our Team Members by pursing a role on the HR team at the Support Center. I am now able to support our Team Members the same way they do for our Guests every day. Main Event helped me find my passion for people and together we show up to work united in our goal of delivering our mission to Connect People, Make Memories…One Smile at a Time.

When I joined Main Event, I was looking for purpose. I had lost the passion and needed a change. In choosing a new career, I made sure to take my time and prioritize “fit” more than “finance”, which was scary but exciting. I am blessed to be able to say that I’m a great example for what can happen when you embrace change. I now get to “work” with purpose and passion and could not be more excited to be Connecting People, Making Memories… One Smile at a Time.

I joined Main Event as an hourly Team Member and with the support and guidance from my team and leaders I was able to grow in my career to Operations Manager. I have learned so many skills because of Main Event and the best part is…I’ve had FUN doing it! Not every day is the same and I’m always challenged to better myself. Being seen as a role model and leader as I transitioned into different roles has been eye opening for me. Knowing I have helped many Team Members grow in their careers has been very rewarding.

As a District Technical Services Manager, I have the privilege of working side-by-side with our amazing Technical Services Teams across many Main Event locations. What I enjoy most is being a teacher to our teams and getting the opportunity to teach them new things each time I visit a location. Our teams are always eager and excited to learn new skills, so this gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge, and it’s amazing that I also learn something new. It’s very rewarding to see everyone light up when they gain new knowledge around something that they didn’t know earlier that day.

When I was younger, I didn’t know what I wanted to do, I just knew I didn’t want to go into work and do the same thing every single day. As a TSM, that is not something I have to ever worry about, and I love it. My advice to anyone looking to join the Main Event family is get ready! Get ready to be a part of a team that helps each other out, cares about one another, and loves to party! Main Event doesn’t feel like most jobs, it’s truly a family. Every single person here has such a big heart and will do anything they can to help see you succeed.

Working at Main Event has been more than a career or job opportunity! Main Event has allowed me the ability to have amazing mentors and leaders that have created unmatched growth and learning opportunities in a FUN filled environment. 

It has been so impactful seeing all the people I have personally trained or developed transition into new roles as Sales Managers, New Center Opening Event Coordinator Leads and Rising Stars. Being able to pay it forward as my mentors have done with me, and to see this new generation of leaders lead has been amazing!
